This could certainly entail the entire shutdown of these A.I. services. However, even if the chatbots are allowed to continue offering services, albeit without any training from copyrighted works, this could severely decrease the quality of the AI’s content output.
That is because not only will the quality of the data be lower, but the variety of writings that the AI will be exposed to will also be limited. As a result, the AI will be much less creative.
The issue for business owners is that relying exclusively on ChatGPT and/or MetaAI could cause problems down the line if these lawsuits become common.
Another reason why AI can be risky is that of data privacy. This is another huge concern for business owners. For one, many major companies have outright banned the use of ChatGPT over concerns of data privacy.
