Linden and Pike Home used AI to rewrite 300 product descriptions. A customer writes in: the page said her skillet was dishwasher safe. It is not, and it is ruined. The same claim appears on eleven other pages.

What good judgment looks like
Fix all twelve pages today, then make it right with the customers who bought on the wrong claim. Find the cause: the brief never included care instructions, so the model filled the gap. Add a review step for any claim about safety or care. Owning an error fast protects more trust than hiding it.

Situation
Harbor Street Bank’s leadership is asked to fund an AI assistant for its commercial lenders. The vendor promises 40 percent time savings. The evidence is one case study from a much larger bank.

What good judgment looks like
Write a one page decision brief. Separate what is known from what is assumed. Include cost, a compliance review of the customer data the tool would touch, and the result that would justify a full rollout. Then fund a limited pilot with that threshold agreed in advance. Leaders do not need certainty. They need a decision they can defend.

The carrier report that points to a switch

Situation
Tri River Supply, a Northern Kentucky distributor, asks AI to summarize a month of shipment exceptions. The summary says one carrier caused most late deliveries and recommends moving its lanes.

What good judgment looks like
Not yet. Rebuild the key number from the raw exception data. Check whether weather delays and dock holds were counted as carrier failures, and whether that carrier simply runs the most volume. A summary is a starting point. The data decides.
